The most economic and rapidly excavated diamond deposit exploited a quarter century ago, like most other successful mines shows multiple phases of host kimberlite intrusion. Here are a selection of these kimberlite rocks representing all the layers of intrusion, from the fissure wall, hypabyssal, blueground, weathered breccia and more aphanitic varieties with fresh faces that have not been exposed and altered in such way as the majority of  outcrops of aphanitic kimberlite in the region. These intrusions are consistent with the structural characteristics of the mine that are important in the context of the other regional kimberlite intrusions and their diminished significance in light of Subterrane's blueprint.
